Harris, a representative 1 meeting was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday afternoon ta discuss the setting up of an organisation to assist in the eare and welfary of any cases of need that may require > assistance at tho present time. He was glad when ho ro--1 eoived advice that the scheme was to be continued, but there were still some people who should be helped, especially women and children. Some central organisation and depot was required and no one who needed help should be missed, and there should not bo any overlapping. ( On the motion of Mr L. J. X’ile, secI ended by Mrs 11. Green, it was do- , cided to set up a citizens’ depot committee and all present, with power to i add to their number, wore appointed - the committee.
