CONTROL BY GOVERNMENT XEW PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION I Per Pre.°s Asocial! .. j NEW PLYMOUTH, June 23. The North Taranaki Radio Society, which was formed originally to further the establishment of Station 2YB, New Plymouth, passed the following motion: “That in view of the announcement by the Postmaster-General that the Government intends to assume the active control of radio broadcasting in New Zealand, this meeting records its emphatic disagreement with such a proposal and urges that as the present licensees have pioneered the service up-to-date, they be given an extension of thir license for a further period, after which the position could ho reviewed if necessary.’’
