Bulls and Rata Hockey Clubs will try conclusions on the polo ground, Bulls, this afternoon. A good game is anticipated. i GOLF MATCH. On Saturday last Rangitikei Golf Club sent a team to Palmerston Nor’ . to play the Palmerston Club. The links were in a very wet condition, and players from Bulls could not show their true form, being accustomed to dry “going.” Palmerston won 10 singles and lost 5, while 4 were halved, and two unfinished. In the four-ball Palmerston also scored a win, having 9 games to their credit as against Bulls’ two. Details of the games which were finished are as follows: Singles. Mr J. Linklater, ALP., was in Bulls on Monday, and was met by members of his party. In the evening the Reform executive met, and arrange monts are being made to hold a “rally” here next week. On Alonday a “shop” was held by ladies of the Anglican Church, and a great quantity of produce and cakes was sold, the net returns being £lB 15s lid. The competition for a dinner was won by Aliss E. Simpkin, and Aliss P. Levett was successful in the cake competition. Arrangements for the forthcoming Bulls Football Club Ball were finalised on Monday night, the meeting of supporters being well attended by both ladies and gentlemen. As will be seen by advertisements, the ball will be held on Wednesday, July 1, and everything possible is being done to make the function even more successful and enjoyable than in former years.

EX-SCOUTS’ RE UNION. The third annual re-union of the Bulls Troop Old Scouts’ Association, was held in the Town Hall on Friday evening, and the attendance was satisfactory, many “old boys” coming from various parts of the North Island. In the absence of the presid ent, Aliss Nancy Wilson (who is at present in England), Air C. Wereta, vice-president, took the chair, and there were also present: Alessrs T. L. Mansell, R. M. Mansell, J. Homes, C. M. Broughton, R. Blake (Alangaweka), P. Kemp (Napier), L. J. Kemp (Wallaceville), A. Kemp, J. Carter, P. Cole, J. Cole, G. Alurray, F. J. Saywell (Halcombe), R. Campion (i’ahiatua), H. Mansell, J. Wightman, Robert Ingram, Ronald Ingram, E. Ingram, E. Harris, P. Ralfe, D. Brookie, P. G. Alorso (Shannon), L. Ransom, H. Kearney, L. Hillier, E. Green, R. Keat, J. Tricker and F. Cutts. Mesdames F. Ralfe, A. Cole, C. AL Broughton, 11. AL Young and A. McGregor prepared the dinner, and the tables were decorated by Airs Saywell and Miss Ralfe. The toast list honoured was as follows:—“The King”; “The Association” (proposed by Mr Al. R. Afansell, and # responded to by Air C. Wereta); “The Chief Scout” (Alessrs L. J. Kemp an K. AL Brough ton); “The President” (Messrs J. Saywell and 11. Afansell); “Absent Comrades” (Alessrs E. Broughton and Ray Campion); “The Ladies” (Messrs J. Homes and T. L. Mansell); “The Chairman” (Messrs T. L. Afansell and C. Wereta). A feature was the cutting of the birthday cake, the gift of Mrs E. Morse, of Shannon, appreciation of this lady’s kindness being expressed, while Mr P. G. Aforse, speaking on behalf of his mother, said that she would be pleased to give a cake for succeeding re-unions (Applause). At the conclusion of the dinner the election of officers took place, the fol lowing being elected: —President. Aliss Nancy Wilson; vice-president, Air C. Wereta; committee, Alessrs T. L. Afansell. M. R. Mansell, 11. E. Tricker, J. Tricker, D. Brookie, P. Ralfe and E. Ingram hon. secretary, Afr E. AT Broughton; hon. treasurer, Afr J. Homes; hon. editor of the bulletin. Air J. Dempsey. (Dancing was then held in the supper room, and guests were present from Palmerston North. Rongotea, Afarton Feilding, Wanganui and other centres. Everything went off well, and the gathering w r as the most enjoyable in th history of the Association. The ladies provided a dainty supper, and music was kindly supplied by the Aliases Kearney, and by Alessrs J. Healey and E. Broughton.
