MARRIED WOMEN TEACHERS
AUCKLAND BOARD’S DECISION. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 20. In order to place its decision to dismiss certain married women teachers beyond doubt, the Auckland Education Board intends to secure a declaratory judgment from the Supreme Court. Notices of dismissal to teachers, who in the Board’s opinion would not be harshly treated by dismissal, are being prepared, but if the Court’s decision is adverse they will be withdrawn. Tho Board’s solicitor, unlike the solicitors of some of the southern boards, has advised that it has a clear right of dismissal.
