INQUEST ON THE VICTIM. POOR LIGHTING IN STREET. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, June 17. Mr McNeil, coroner, returned a for mal verdict that deceased died from injuries received when knocked down by a car in Jervois Quay, in respect to a tunnel worker, Myles Valentine, aged 37, who died in hospital following an accident on Friday night. The coroner remarked on the poor lighting in the vicinity of tho wharf sheds, and discounted any suggestion that the. driver of the car, Francis Gregory Galvin, was under the influence of liquor or driving at an excessive speed at the time.
