FIRE AT PAHIATUA

MOTOR VEHICLES DESTROYED (Per Press Association.) PAHIATUA, Juno 17. An outbreak of lire this morning at W. B. Mills’ garage spread to R. Pilkington’s cycle shop. The building was gutted and several motor vehicles destroyed, also 1000 feet of timber owned by Pilkington and J. SwanneyThe premises were owned by Henry Cowan, and were insured for £BOO. Mills had an insurance for £lOO and Pilkington for £2OO. A break wall prove! ted the spread of the flames to the (flub Hotel, also the Strand block. The fire originated in Mills’ office.
