SHOOTING AND AGRICULTURE BRUNSWICK AND FORDELL The annual shooting competition for the Brunswick Cup was held last Friday and resulted in a win for the Fordell team. The results were:— Foretell. .1. Patterson 99 L. K. Monk 89 H. Hughes 88 R. Sutherland 82 R. Campion 74 Total 432 Brunswick. F. X. Huwyler 90 J. Currie 88 W. McKee 76 G. Crawley 72 C. Brownlie 67 Total 393 Brunswick Root Growing. The Brunswick root growing competition was judged on Monday by Messrs E. Parsons and G. Alexander. Owing to the dry season crops were lighter than usual. In mangolds, P. Turner was first with 76 tons Ocwt. 4qr., 92 points. G. Sim was second with 65 tons 17cwt, 81 points In carrots, J. Reid was first with 36 tons 2cwt, 51 points, and G.
