MADDENED HORSE
COLLISION WITH A CAR [ Per Press As: -’ciation. ] STRATFORD, Juno 15. An unusual accident occurred at 6 o’clock last evening at Ngaero, when a horse became maddened by a gar den rake caught in its tail and dashed along the main road. A car proceeding to Stra'ford, driven by Air F. Shaw, got. off the road in time, escaping a collision b, inches. Air Austin Yarndley, manager of Newton King, Ltd., driving a car following, saw that a collision was inevitable and stopped. Tho horse dashed into tho radiator, catapulted on to tho top of the sunshield and was thrown right, over tho car, being killed instantly. Another car, from the opposite direction, came along at this moment and jusS missed hitting the dead horse. Air Yarndley’s car was damaged, but ho and Airs Yarndley and son es caped injury.
