GOLF Arranged for to-morrow is a match between Hawera and the local clubs to be played on the Park Farm links The Patea team will be as follows: Wills, Wybourne, Rook, Hunger, Hegardy , Fraser, Sheild, Harris (2), Hughes, Mitchell, C. and I. Honcyfield. and Currie. Owing to this match, no competition is arranged for the Ladies’ Chib mem bers to-morrow, but on Thursday a match between the secretary’s and cap tain’s teams will be played All those desirous of playing arc to be at the clubhouse at 1.15 p.m. PATEA DOMAIN BOARD ORDINARY MEETING The ordinary monthly meeting of the Patea Domain Board was held on Friday, Mr E. F. Hemingway presiding. Messrs Ramsbottom, Papps, Jenkin*and Roberts were also present. The minutes of the previous meetii were read and confirmed. The annual balance-sheet, as certified by the Auditor-General, was read ami adopted. It was resolved that a supply of trees bo obtained from Mr Davies. Mereniere, to replace gaps in the belt, planted last year. A letter was read from the Taranaki Rugby Union stating that the dates and places for representative football matches had already been allotted, and therefore they could not grant the board’s request for a match at Patea. Mr R. E. Moore wrote offering to lease on yearly tenancy the portion ot the paddock now 7 occupied by him, but inclusive of the swamp. It was decided to accept Mr Moore’s offer to take a portion of the paddock for a year from June 1 and that tenders be invited for the lease of the swamp for a period of three years.
