MINISTER’S STATEMENT ( British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, June 12. In Hie House of Commons tho Home Secretary (Afr J. R. Clynes) said that the Government had given careful consideration to the suggestion that an inquiry should be held into tho lottery and sweepstake laws, but was not satisfactory on the present information that tho balance of opinion in Parliament or in the country was in favour of a revision of the existing laws.
