An intense anticyclone covers Nciv Zealand. A slight depression is centred in the western Tasman Sea. Forecast. —Winds: Light to moderate ami variable, gradually tending northerly. Seas (N.Z. waters): Still a considerable southerly swell south of East < ape. but otherwise smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Freshening north east to north winds and moderate to rather rough seas. Weather Fair to line, cold night temperatures, with many frosts, but milder to-day. Showers developing to-day in parts of Westland aud the far South.
