WAITOTARA
PERSONAL Mrs Baddley, of Hawke’s Bay, is the guest of her niece, Mrs F. Tindall, of Waitotara. DANCE A successful carnival dance organised by the Waitotara Football Club was held in the Waitotara public hall on Wednesday evening. The hall was well packed with couples, there being a large number of visitors from Wanganui and elsewhere. The hall was tastefully decorated with multi-colour-ed streamers and greenery, the whole arrangement presenting a very pleasing effect. Orchestral music was sup plied by Mrs Gardiner (piano), and Mr Nicholls (violin), while Mr T. Edwards carried out efficiently the duties of M.C. During the evening several novelty dances and competition waltzes added zest to the entertainment. Following were the winners of the events: —Spot waltz. To Ante and partner; hat waltz, W. Zimmerman; competition, W. Zim merman. An excellent supper was provided by a hard-working committee.
