SALE BY THE BOLSHEVIKS STRONGONOFF COLLECTION. [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received May 33, 10.15 p.m. BERLIN, May 33. Pictures from the famous Strogonoff collection were auctioned by order of the Bolshevik Government. Two Vandycks brought £37,000. The Rembrandt “Christ and the Woman of Samaria,” brought £12,120. The whole offering of pictures brought £95,000. The Strogonoff family protested against the sale, but lhe German courts decided that the Bolshevik nntionalisa tion of works of art must be recog nised.
