HIGH COMMISSIONER'S ADVICE The (Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 9th. instant, from the High Commissioner for Nexv Zealand, London:— Tallow.—No auction until next week. Market continues quiet and quotations nominally unchanged. Hemp.—Manila market easier and ‘‘K’’ grade for May-July shipment sold £l7. Steadier at the close; July-Sep-tember shipment being sold at £l7 10s. Sisal: Market quiet and easier. No. 1. for May-July shipment value £l6 5f to £l6 10s and No. 2£l less. New Zealand: Very quiet and no first hand sales reported. Nominal values ror May-July shipment on the basis of highpoints £l9, fair £lB, and two No. 2 £l3 10s. Fruit.—Fordsdalc practically cleared; Tairoa and Kangitata working. In good condition generally. Current prices are: Apples: Cox’s Orange 14s to 18s, Jonathan and Delicious Ils to 13s, Dunn’s Favourite 10s to Jis, London Pippin 10s to ,12s. Pears: Winter Cole 9s to 15s, Winter Nelis 14s to .18$, Beurrc Bose J3s 6d to JBs, Cornice 15s to J Bs.
