HOLLYWOOD AT EASTER

STABS WEAR BRIGHT COLOURS. BLUE PREDOMINATES. HOLLYWOOD, April 7. | Hollywood is putting on its newest and finest raiment to morrow, not only because it is Easter but also to assert its self-imposed reputation of being “the style centre of the world.” Bright colours predominate in the Easter styles. Easter bonnets blossom in flower-bedecked array and the dress materials have become unusually colourful. In contrast, Norma Shearer prefers dark blue. Her outfit, consisting of silk dress, hem length coat and shiny blue straw hat, is one of smart somplicity. Lilyan Tashman will don a silk crepe powder-blue suit, trimmed with silk braid. He r accessories will be brown straw hat, with gloves and shoes to match. Bebe Daniels lias chosen an ensemble of gray broadcloth, with a turban of twisted chiffon in gray and white. The jacket is trimmed in white ermine that goes all the way around. Her shoes and hose will be in a matching tone of gray. Over a green and white printed frock. Ina Claire will wear a redingote coat of eimfi’ald green, held at the waist with a matching wide kid belt. Her hat will be of green silk grosgrain, with accessories in medium beige. Since blue is one of the more popular shades, as well as her favourite colour, Ann Harding has selected a Bouole ensemble of powder blue, with traces of wool embroidery in navy, the shade of shoes, bag and gloves. Marion Davies will appear in an open-wool-mesh ensemble in a beige tone with a beret of the same material. The only trimming is looped edgings of the material on the neck-line of the sleeveless dress and on the collarless jackette. Ruth Chatterton will wear a pink beige afternoon frock with touches of lace on the bodice. A large brown, rough-straw hat accompanies this dress. Mary Pickford will wear a white Shantung sports ensemble, with a threequarter jacket of the same material, trimmed with white fox. A small, close-fitting straw and accessories of the same colour complete the ensemble. A light green silk suit, set off wuh bands of golden brown fox fur is Joan Crawford’s selection. A bandeau hat of open-work straw is carried out in the same shade of greon. Golden brown elbow-length gloves, hosiery and pumps finish the two toned choice. Dolores Costello has picked a char I,reuse green chiffon gown, edged with Russian sable. This is worn beneath a deep bolero jacket of quilted crepe with a stand-up collar of sable. Her hat wi'.' bo the new Spring Watte m type of chartreuse braided horsehair. Her accessories, except for white suede gloves, will bo the same hue. Dorothy Alnekaill, spending Luster on her way to Honolulu, is wearing a trim sports frock of sea blue. Her hat is of bakou, her shoes plain black patonf leather and her gloves, white pigskin, uro perforated and in the hnlt'-lenglli stylo.
