HARBOUR board recount A special effort was made by the Wanganui electoral staff yesterday to complete as much of the task of recounting votes as possible. Several extra hands were employed from the City Council offices, with the result that, in addition to the Mayoralty and City Council issues, that to elect six representatives on the Wanganui Harbour Board was also completed last night. It is expected that results o.t' the remaining issues will b° announced to-day. It is practically certain that in the Wanganui-Rai gitike, Electric Power Board elevon A” A. E. aHlligan will displace Mr J. Robertson who, on the preliminary count announced last Wednesday night, was among the leading six. The officially checked Harbour Board poll has been announced as follows, the four sitting members of the Board topping the poll. .Messrs A. 8. Burgess an 1 J. Robertson have been elected to vacancies caused through the retirement of Messrs P. Higgir.oottom and T. H.
