Yellow continued to press, and Tattle saved by marking, finding the line near half-way. Even play followed for a time, but a passing movement among the yellow backs saw a scoring chance spolied with a knock on. Yellows continued to make the game open, and from a free-kick Al. Moffatt goaled. Another yellow attack was stopped by Tattle. Marsh and Sanson carried play to the yellow twenty-live. Half-time sounded with even play. Yellow continued the open play, and only sound tackling kept the score down. L. Moffatt at last got over at tho corner. Tho kick at goal failed. Tho last fifteen minutes seldom saw tho ball in tho yellow half, and the blues were busy defending. Just on the final whistle Gimblett, after several efforts, got over at the corner. J. Scott made a good attempt at goal, the ball hitting the uprights. Air Stan Reeve capably controlled the game. For the homo side Tattle and Marsh wero the pick of the backs and of the forwards Harris and Hammond were the best. The veteran, Jack Sanson, also saw tho game out veil. Of tho visitors the forwards were an even lot, but the backs all played well, Fuller, at first five-eights, giving his supports plenty of openings. Tho junior game played at Oroua Downs was a fairly even game, the home side winning out by three points and a penalty to one try. The score for Hui Mai was secured by W. Sanson.
