WOOL MARKETS

AN EASING OF PRICES MB DEVEREAUX'S COMMENT CONDON, May 10. Mr Devereaux reports fliat the easier market during the week in London was partly due to the reduced French demand owing to fears of a strike of operatives and also to the difficulties of maintaining the prices of tops and yarns. All centres show a general fall of 5 per cent, compared with the opening prices, both in merinos and crossbreds. The fall was mostly exix-ricnced in scoured merino and short, scoured and aliped medium and toarse crossbred. The Bradford market is stagnant with little new business offering.
