SALES OF THE WEEKi JJuJgcty and Co. Lid. report on the sales of last week as under; There was a clearing sale on account, of (he estate of S. J. Alullins held on Tuesday, Alay 5, at Linton, when the following prices were realised: Woolly wether lambs h - to 9/4; 2 and 4-tooth wethers IL- to 11/11; fat hoggets J 4 3; in.a. ewes, r.w. Ltd. report on their usual fortnightly sale; held at Raetihi on Friday, Sth inst., as followsfollows: —To a good attendance of the farmers wo offered over 500 cattle, besides 700 sheep. Ewe lambs were again in good demand and late rates were fully maintained, whilst wether lambs sold in vendors’ favour. The commencement of the cattle section somewhat dragged, the first few| pens offered being passed in. but to-, wards the later stages vendors seemed more readily to accept ruling rates with the result of fewer passings. Twoyear steers were in good demand, practically the whole yardeo selling at, from £4 to £4 15s, coloured ditto at about £3; ss. We disposed of the larger proportion of the offering. Wo quote: —Good, ewe lambs, 12s 8d; medium ewe lambs, Ils Id to Ils lOd; wether lambs, 6s 6d to 7s 7d; small owe lam os, 7s.
