CANADA AND AUSTRALIA TOOK FUTURE FOR TRADE SIR HUGH POYNTER’S VIEW Received Mav 10, 5.5 p.m. MONTREAL, May 9. Canadian-Australian trade has not much of a future, said Sir Hugh Poynter, who, en route to England, was in terviewed to-day. Sir Hugh said that trade between the two countries was not very great, though Canada exported a few cars and some agricultural machinery. There was little likelihood of increasing it very much. A Vancouver message says that to meet the growing demand for Austra lian wines, the provincial Liquor Board has ordered stores to stock three ad ditional brands.
