CASTLECLIFF CLUB SATURDAY’S MEDAL MATCH RECORD NUMBER OF PLAYERS The second medal match of the season was played at the Castlecliff links ou Saturday in tine weather, but a keen south wind kept on the move. A record "umber of cards was handed in, and of these 56 cards, F. Currie was the winner in the senior section and H. Udy in th junior section. The best cards were as follows: Seiors
In the Flag Match played last week the senior flag was carried to the 19th hole by H. Trigger and the junior flag was also planted in the 19th hole by S. Newsome. Quite a number of players assisted to get the flags along the last part of the journey. Next Saturday a Canadian foursome will be played. WANGANUI CLUB PLAY ON SATURDAY MEDAL MATCH RESULTS In spite of the “nip’’ iu the air there was a large attendance of players at Belmont ou Saturday. The wiiid and the cold militated somewhat against good scoring and not many cards were returned. H. Zeisler was the best in the A grade with a net 73 (88 —15), while > D. R. Robertson, on the 28 mark, settled the opposition in the B grade with a net 68. Details are as follows: A Grade
