UNUSUAL WAR MEMORIAL
“ORGAN OF HEROES." A gigantic “organ uf heroes,” in memory of the German and Austrian soldiers fallen in the war, has been erected at the picturesque little town of Kufstein, in Northern Tyrol, close to tho Bavarian frontier. The monumental organ has been pla<ed on the Stoep rock of Geroldseck, an I is supplied with twenty-live registers, on two manuals, and a pedal, and ha* 1735 pipes. The electric table of the organ is placed some 330 feet beneath the organ pipes, on another rock. \ hall, jn course of construction, will gi\e an opportunity to 1000 persons to listen to the organ close al band; but its sounds will be heard over the country far and wide. Austria has already another unique war memorial, the gigantic continuouly burning candle at the Votiv Church in \ ienna. Many offers of purchase for the candle have been made !.y the Unied States and other countries.
