PRICES RISE AGAIN

DUNEDIN WOOL SALE UP Id ON CHRISTCHURCH VERY KEEN COMPETITION [ Per Press Association. ) DUNEDIN, March 9. The third wool sale of the season wa« held to-day, when a total catalogue of 18,950 bales was offered to a full bench of buyers. Competition from the outset was very keen am. at times excited. The bulk of the offering was secured for the Continent and Japan, Bradford being extremely quiet. It was evident that their limits were below those of the Continental and Japanese buyers. Comparing prices with those ruling at Christchurch last week, values were higher by a good penny. In comparison with the last Dunedin sale halfbreds can be quoted at 2d to 2sd higher and crossbreds l|d to 2d firmer. Bellies, pieces and locks elicited keen competition and showed a corrrsjvonJing firming compared with fleece wool. The woo] opened up in good condition and almost a total clearance was effected.
