The Wanganui Chronicle TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 1930. THE HAWERA CONFERENCE
fHE decision ol the Cartners' Union Io hold a mass meeting at
Hawera augurs well, in that it indicates that the current adversity is doing its work. If the Hawera meeting gets down to problems and advocates logical and radical remedies much good will come of it. The avoidance of undue optimism oil the one hand and of panic on the other will be necessary, and care must be taken to ensure that all the facts arc brought to light. For this reason all those farmers who are able to attend should attend the Hawera Conference, for such circumstances as now confront us arc indeed complex and wisdom is more likely to be evolved out of a conference of many conns Hors.
