LATE SIR JOHN FINDLAY
DONATIONS OF PAINTINGS | Per P’ess Association.! WELLINGTON. Dec- 15. A fine painting of the late >Sir John Findlay has been presented to the Legislative Council by Lady Findlay, who recently returned from England. Sir John Findlay was leader of the Legislative Council from 1906 to 1911 ami a member of the House of Representatives front 1917 to 1919. The painting shows Sir John in full figure. .It was executed by Sphinx, a well-known London artist. Lady Findlay also presented to the Supreme Court library, a painting of her late husband by R. S. Clouston.
