ON COOK’S GARDENS TO-MORROW NIGHT’S MEETING WELL-KNOWN ATHLETES TO COMPETE The standard for the WanganuiTaranaki Centre electric light meeting to-morrow evening promises to be high. Four car-loads will be coming through from Palmerston North. There will bo included such cyclists as Lawrence and Rogers, who distinguished themselves in the Palmerston North to Wanganui road race, while Pierccy, well-known as a sprinter, is also making the trip. Hawera will be making up a car-load of about six runners. The best of the Wanganui men will be seen in action. Allcompetitors who have not received their passes may obtain them from the secretary.

Next Saturday the competitions will be continued at 500 and 600 yards on the Putiki range A reminder is given that entries for tho North Island championship meeting close on Thursday next, and. as usual the prize money is guaranteed.
