DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB
SATURDAY’S SHOOT. The sixth shoot for the Defence Rifle Club Cup competition was held at Putiki on Saturday and although conditions were good the scring was not as high as was expected for this range. Aiming was difficult, although the light did not suggest trouble of this nature. It is probable that members have had too much practice on the black and white targets. Rifleman Manssen, a junior shot, was top scorer with 47, 43—90 off the rifle, his 47 at 300 yards including a sevenbull finish. Following arc the scores:— 300 Hp. 600 Hp. Tl. Manssen 47 0 43 2 —92 Carde 47 0 42 2—91
