THIEF SENT TO GAOL
ROBBED FELLOW LODGER [ Per Presa Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH. Dec. 4. Thirwall King Haward admitted in the Magistrate’s Court that he committed two thefts from a lodger’s room at St-onehurst Private Hotel while boarding there. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining money by false pretences. He was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment on th® charge of false pretences and three months’ imprisonment on each of th® other charges. Hayward gave his ag® as 30 and his occupation as salesman.
