FARMERS AND POLITICS
CONFERENCE AT HAWERA (Per Press AR.octav.lon.) HAWERA, Dee X Kesultant on proposals of the Dominion executive of the Farmers’ Union having the objective of creating a wider interest among the farmers on political questions, the Dominion president (Mr W. J. Polson) conferred hero to-day with the provincial secretaries of North and South Taranaki and Wanganui. The suggestion to hold a series of farmers’ meetings, three in each island, was approved. The first is to bo tha Taranaki provincial meeting at Ha* wcra at an early date.
