' ’ PROTEST PROM CHURCHES LONDON, Dec. 1. The Council of Christian Ministers apropos of the Dublin sweepstake, has issued a minfesto calling on their colleagues to combat the widening interest in betting. It declares that no cjiafitnble need justifies a resort to gambling.
