W.D.F.U. SHOP DAY
Afembers and friends of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union are rereminded of the “shop” day to be held to-day in the Aleat Co. Shop (opposite Warnock’s)- There will be all the usual stalls on which will be many useful and dainty articles. The produce stall is to be well stocked by both country and town members. There is also a beautiful painting kindly donated by Air Pratt, of St. John’s Hill- The proceeds from the “shop” day go towards the Community Chest funds, used for paying the housekeepers, sent bv the division to farmers’ wives living in the backblocks. All who are interested in the W-D.F.U. efforts to better the lot of women in isolated districts are invited to help the “bring and buy’’ shop day being held to-day.
