ON COOK’S GARDENS SATURDAY’S MEETING. WELLINGTON CLUB COMPETITORS The- Wellington-Wanganui inter-club electric light meeting to commence next Saturday at 7.30 p.m. on Cook’s Gardens promises to be a sterling contest. The events will be handicapped, and the Wellington team is a strong one. Several outstanding men will be competing. Among the Wellington competitors are: Gane, Wellington’s crack cyclist; C. Gibbons, the miler,; Brady, the high jump performer, who has cleard six feet on several occasions; Gudsell, of international fame as a walker; Fleming, the New Zealand quarter-mile champion; Pickering, who defeated Fleming over the quarter in the provincial championships, and Jenkins, the 220 export. It will be an added attraction for the Wanganui public that Don Evans, the Taihape Club’s crack man, will be seen in action.
