GIFT EVENING
On Friday evening an enjoyable “gift” evening was given by Mr and Mrs W. H. Ward, at their residence, Maxwell Avenue, in honour of Miss D. Dempsey and Mr W. Shardlow, whose marriage takes place shortly- The evening passed pleasantly with musical items, games and competitions. Songs were given by Mr Frank Thomas and violin solos by Miss Dempsey. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs W. H. Ward, Mr and Mrs F. Thomas, Mr and Mrs La Roache, Mr and Mrs Kenyon, Mrs J. T. Ward, Mrs E. Adkin, Miss Dempsey, Miss Turner, Miss F. Ward Miss Richards, Mr W. Shardlow.
