Mrs D. Mason has returned from a visit to her daughter at Hunterville, and is at present the guest of Mrs R. Lilburn.

Miss Millward, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs C. F. Millward, St. John’s Hill.

Mrs Wilson and Miss B. Wilson, return to Wanganui to-morrow from Kakahati.

Mrs M. J. McArtney, left Wanganui yesterday to take up residence in Palmerston North.

Miss Calver is visiting Palmerston North.

Miss Peggy Strachan, who has been visiting Now Plymouth, has returned to Wanganui.

Mrs V- A. Brookie has returned to Wanganui after two months’ holiday, spent in the Rotorua and Hawke’s Bay districts.

Mrs Walter Stewart entertained a few friends at a dinner party on Saturday evening in honour of Mr and Mrs J. A. Neame.

Mrs Bishop, of Hastings, is visiting her sister, Mrs Gardiner, College Street.

Mr and Mrs Gardiner and Mrs Bishop have returned from a week-end trip to Mt. Egmont.

An enjoyable concert, organised by Miss Hilda Crysell, in aid of the Christ Church Choir funds, was held in the Wanganui Girls’ College Hall recently. Items were given by Mrs Stuart Cunningham and Misses M. Chote, K. Stone, D. Hughes, P. Taylor, G. O’Mahoney and Messrs W. Liddle, Hoar, K. Lind, Reid, and the male choir quartette.

Mrs W- A. Veitch and Miss Bruce Veitch are at present staying in Wanganui. Miss Veitch is the guest of Airs Heatley. Mrs Wright, a visitor from England, at present in Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs B. Tosswill, St. John’s Hill. Mrs A. E. Cowper, has returned from Hawke’s Bay, where she attended the wedding of Miss Williams to Mr Tripe, of Wellington.

Mrs D- Meldrum has returned from a holiday spent in Rotorua, Mr and Mrs A. H. McLean, of Auckland, are visiting Wanganui.

.Mrs Allan Jamieson, Castlccliff, has relumed to Wanganui with her two children, after a holiday in Australia.
