WIRELESS TELEPHONE
WELLINGTON TO LONDON. HIGHLY SATISFACTORY TEST. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON Nov. 19. The Hon, A. E. Ransom has received a cable from the Right Hon. G. W. Forbes which states: “In spite of a slight fading at times the wireless telephone experiment was highly satisfac tory. I have visited Scotland ami other provincial centres in New Zealand trade interests, ami also will visit Ireland and France before my final departure. SATISFACTORY RECEPTION. REPORT FROM LONDON. LONDON, Nox. 18. From a private room in th™ Savoy Hotel at 8.30 this morning the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes ami other members of the New Zealand delegation spoke by wireless telephone to the Cabinet room, Wellington. where members of the Cabinet and relatives of members of the delgagatiun were waiting. The conversations lasted an hour ami were very clear, though there was slight fading towards tho end.
The call was arranged at the special request of Mr Forbes ami it is hoped it will be the forerunner of regular AngloNew Zealand scvices.
Mr Forbes was afterwards switched on to his homestead at Cheviot, Canterbury.
