MANY APPLICATIONS REFUSED [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 19. “This man is a qualified accountant and, therefore, having a fair knowledge of business methods, he cannot make the excuse that ho did not understand what he was doing.” said Judge Adams when refusing Alfred Herbert Rudd, an agent, a discharge from bankruptcy. “The public have to be protected as far as the Court can <Jo so against men like this.”
Of twelve applications for discharge only five were grante<l unconditionally.
