TRADE AND POLITICS
BRITISH RECOMMENDATION. LONDON, Nov. IS. The National Council of Industry and Commerce urged th Government and Opposition to discard party polities in favour of sound eedno’iiiicj*. At present the country’s prosperity is the politicians plaything. The Council observes apprehensively the Government’s immediate programme and with dismay the economic failure of the Imperial Conference, which was inevitable, because the Government subordinated economics to politics. It is now ignoring the problems of uneni ployment and trade recovery. The former will soon be unmanageable. Britans should not await a general election, but should force their views on sitting members demanding prompt non-party action.
