Stewed Mutton and Ki.ce. —Take 2 or .’’lb of best, end of neck of mutton, cut it up, ami :mt. into a saucepan. Cover with hot /ter, and when it comes to the boil, . kirn well. Season -with perper and salt, and when it is about, half cooked, add 2 or 3 tablespons of rice, and simmer slowly until all is well cooked,, or 3 tablespoons of rice, finely chopped parsley. Cheese Straws.—Mix together one cupful of grated cheese, one cupful of flour, one teaspor baking powder. F tcaspoon paprika, one pinch each of cayenne popper and salt. When well blended pour in one beaten egg and mix again. Now r add enough milk to make a stiff dough, which must be rolled out to the thickness of a quarterinch on a floured board. Cut into, straws, and bake for 15 minutes in a’ hot oven.
