BABY’S BREAKFAST EATEN
When a man was charged at Newcastle, England, with neglecting his four children, aged seven, five, three, and two, his wife declared that he ate the babies’ breakfast, consisting of bread, butter, tomatoes, cheese, and cowheel, and refused to bring home any relief to his family.
It was stated that the family had received £250 in relief and that when the accused was offered a job he refused it. He was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment.
