‘SONG OF THE FLAME”

EXTENDED MAJESTIC SEASON ALL COLOUR OPERA “Song of the Flame,” the screen’s initial all colour operetta, commences an extended season at the Majestic theatre on Wednesday. Based on the Stage success of the same name, First National’s lavish spectacle uses the Russian revolution as a background for a love story, involving a prince of royal blood and the feminine leader of the mob. The music, by Gershwin and Stothart, is one of the outstanding features. “Song of the Flame” is one of the first all-talking spectacle films produced with Vitaphonc and Technicolour. Alexander Gray and Bernice Claire, who appeared in “No, No, Nanette” and “Spring is Here,” are cast in th® romantic leads.
