DUKE OF GLOUCESTER’S VISIT GOLD SCEPTRE PRESENTED Received Nov. 2, 7.30 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 1. An Addis Ababa message states that the Duke of Gloucester, on behalf of King George, presented’ a gold sceptre to Emperor Rastafari of Ethopia, and an ivory sceptre to the Empress. He also gave the Emperor the insignia of the Victoria Order and offered the King’s congratulations on the Emperor’s accession, wishing him a prosperous reign. The Emperor and Empress received the Duke of Gloucester seated on gilded thrones in the great crimson-curtained hall of the Palace.
