YOUNG MAN ARRESTED
EXTRADITION TO BE SOUGHT. [ Per Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND. Nov. 2. The police last night arrested James Royce, aged 2b. motor engineer, on provisional warrant issued at Sydney. Royce appeared at the Police Court today charged that between August and September last, in New South Wales, Ue collected £l2 and fraudulently omitted to account to the Express Tyre Service for £9 in violation of the terms on which he received the money. Chief-Detective Hammond obtained a remand until next week. “The total defalcations are about £150,” said Chief-Detective Hammond. “An escort is coming from Australia with the original warrant and later an order for accused’s extradition will be applied for.” The Magistrate granted bail in two sureties of £lOO each ana ordered Royce to report himself at the police station daily.
