MAGNESIUM POWDEB EXPLODES L Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 31. When a deafening explosion accompanied with a blinding flash of light shook the Wellington Winter Show building, where a British motor car show is being held, Leslie Wallace, a photographer, and Ronald Prescott, his assistant, suffered extensive burns to their faces and hands. The two were preparing to take a flashlight photograph of the “ Golden Arrow.” when, without, warning the magnesium powder in the holder exploded with a tremendous report. The accident caused alarm in the building, in which it was estimated that there were fully 1000 persons.
