King Willow Arrives.
The gap between the departure of football and the arrival of cricket has thi.M vear been greater than is usually the case, in Wanganui. The Rugby season is now a matter of memory only, while cricket, was ushered in on Saturday in fine weather. Upwards of twenty teams participated in the various grades of the Wanganui Association’s competitions, and considering the early stage of the season the interest displayed was very gratifying.
