PATEA PERSONAL Aliss Alarion Hamcrton has had remarkable success at the Palmerston North Competitions, having won four firsts, Operatic, Sketch, New Zealand Composer and Contralto test, is recalled for the Sacred song and was runnerup in the championship scholarship. Ihe latest news of Aliss Hamerton's success is that she ' s been successful in the sacred solo. This gives her the championship title and with it a gold medal. Aliss Hilda Heckler is spending her holidays in the c outh. Air Lee Honeyficld, of Whcnukura, and Air Ken. Honeyficld, of Patca, left yesterday for a holiday in Whangarei. Airs Hunger, senr., returned yesterday from Wellington, where she has been on holiday. Airs Gro'-’” and her daughter Noclcen are visiting Palmerston North. Air and Mrs H. Woodyear-Smith are guests of Air Southcombe. We regret to report that Aliss Rogers, a nurse of the Patea Hospital is at present a patient.
