BULLS TO-DAY’S RUGBY Great interest L being taken in today’s match between Athletic and Bulls seniors, the latter hoping to field a strong fifteen to give the leaders in the competition a stiff tussle. FACTORY PAY-OUT The directors of the Rangitikci Dairy Co., Ltd., have decided to pay at the rate of one shilling a pound for April supply of butter-fat.

LODGE MEETING The regular fortnightly meeting of Rangitikci Lodge, No. 14, 1.0.0. F., was held on Thursday evening, P.G. Bro. Petersen presiding over a good attendance of members. Correspondence was read as follows: From Whanganui Rebekah Lodge, an invitation to attend a social evening on the occasion of the Grand Master’s visit on Alay 29. Hall Improvements.—lt was resolved to obtain a price for painting the hall roof; ridging and spouting also to be attended to. The Active Service Cadets applied for the use of the hall on Alay 30.—The application was granted. The Alanchester Unity 1.0.0. F. Lodge applied for use of the key to the Lodge-room.—Applica-tion granted, P.G. Bro. Forbes being responsible for its safe keeping. Cards.—lt was resolved to. issue a challenge for the Alathieson Shield. Also to hold a series of euchre parties after the meetings for six nights. Committee. —The following were appointed: The N.G., V.G., P.G. Bros. L. Hill and Forbes and Bro. O’Connell. A visiting member from Awarua Lodge conveyed Fraternal Greetings to this Lodge. The Alanchester Unity Lodge applied for the use of the hall for a dance on May 22. —Granted.

BULLS TENNIS CLUB Alembers of the Bulls Tennis Club met on the courts on Wednesday afternoon, when the president (Air G. D. Flower) handed to two members, Air and Airs D. AlcKenzie, a set of carvers, and at the same time wished the newly married couple all the joys of married life. Air Flower spoke of the good work which they had done in the interests of the Tennis Club, particularly Air AlcKenzie’s enthusiasm in running the annual ball, and conveyed to them the best wishes of fellow members.

ASSOCIATION The annual general meeting of members of the above association will be held in’ the' Coronation Hall, Alarton, on Thursday, May 22, at 8 p.m. when an interesting statement of the finances and the activities of the association for the past year will be presented. OBITUARY AIR WILLIAAI HULL Deep regret will be felt at the passing of an old and respected citizen in the person of Air William Hull, of Hair Street, Alarton, at the mature age of 84 years. The dcacesed, who was born in Northampton, came to New Zealand in 1879 in he sailing vessel Kakaia and settled at Makotuku in the Hawke’s Bay province where he was engaged in road contracting work until his retirement seven years ago, when he came to Alarton and resided in Hair Street.
