COMPARATIVE STATEMENT A comparative return of hospital statistics was submitted at yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Hospital Board. The figures for tie yeak 1928-29 are given first in each case, the figures for the year 1929-30 following:— Wanganui Hospital.—Number of patients treated 2648, 2480; total days of stay of patients, 56,350, 55,605; average stay per patient, 21.3, 22.42; average occupied beds per diem 1544; 152.34. Taihape Hospital. — Number of patients treated. 766, 690; total days of stay of patients 13,218, 13,44’; average stay of patient, 13,218, 13,444; average number of occupied beds per diem, 36.2, 36.83, Raetihi Hospital.—Number of patients treated 181, 221; total days of stay of patients, 2688, 2659; average stay of patient 14.8, 12.03; average occupied beds per dicm, 7.4, 7.28.
