E. Ncw’ton, principal of the Wanganui Technical College. He said that the circular suggested that the present educational system as a whole tended to make education cheap and popular. This created a wrong impression. Evidently the writer was ignorant of the work done in the most modern branch of technical education. It was decided to ask Mr Newton to draft a reply.
