THEFT OF CLOTHING HOUSEHOLD LINEN STOLEN [Per Pre--;- ' 0.-latlnn ’ NAPIER, Sept. 30. A young married woman, whose name was suppressed, was charged before Mr A. M, Mowlem, S.M., to-day with the theft of frocks, bed linen, towels and underclothing from a house in Dannevirke. Shortly before her marriage, accused obtained possession of the keys of the house during the owner’s absence and visited the place, taking various articles. She admitted the theft and the police recovered the stolen goods. Some of the latter had evidently been altered, and the owner declined to take thorn back. The Magistrate accepted the husband’s proposal to pay £l2 in restitution for the goods altered and accused was admitted to probation for two years ____________
