ELTHAM SPRING SHOW
CHAMPIONSHIP TO MR CHRYSTAL The Eltham Horticultural Society’s spring show was held on Wednesday. The display was a particularly fine one. Mr A. Chrystal won the North Island amateur championship and the Taranaki amateur championship in the daffodil classes. The former carried with it a gold medal valued at five guineas, and the latter a 21-guinea cup. In the classes for the Cooper Challenge Cup (15 guineas), for the open Taranaki championship, Mr R. Gibson, of Manaia, was the winner; and the Rev. W. W. Avery gained the points prize in groups A and B in the daffodil section for amateurs.
